Colorful houses in Puerto Rico
Curator’s statement

Born and raised in the island of Puerto Rico, I have experienced the fabulous clear waters of the islands beaches. The exquisite cuisine in Old San Juan in El Hotel El Convento and in Isla Verde, Pinones. For cultural attractions The Museum of Art and History in Old San Juan is a must. One of the best things in Puerto Rico is taking a road trip thru the scenic route of the island, stopping at every town along the way to take in the scenery of the town and eat our typical food (comida criolla) served along the roads of the island. Drink our own home made beer (Medalla) and taste one of the oldest typical fermented drinks of the island (Mavi) and along the way eat a mango or two from the many trees. And don't miss refreshing coconut water straight from the palm tree. If you like hiking El Yunque is the place to be, where you can hear The Coqui and jump into the most refreshing water falls on the mountain. On this magnificent vacation the island of Vieques, aka Isla Nena, has a special treat. The phosphorescent water at night is a site to remember. This luminous wonder will catch your eye and imagination
