Things to do in Aruba
Places to visit in National Park Arikok:
Conchi Natural Pool — I strongly recommend a tour, since the terrain is very bumpy for vehicles. You can swim, snorkel, jump off the cliff or enjoy just splashing in the waves.
Quadirikiri Caves — This beautiful cave has two sunholes where there is beautiful limestone and you can see the bats.
Fontein Cave — This cave has a drawing from Caiquetios and is over 1000 years old. It has a fresh-water pond where you can have a wild fish pedicure.
Dos Playa Beach - beautiful beach on the north coast with stunning white sand and beautiful colors of the water.
Beaches:
Baby Beach: A must-see. Will need a car for sure or take a tour. You might see donkeys on the drive. Snap a picture next to the large Red Anchor in the vicinity!
Tres Trapi: Swim with turtles if you're lucky. Some tours also stop here.
Boca Catalina Beach: Best snorkeling place and great spot to see the sun set.
Arashi Beach: Rocky Beach, close to California Lighthouse.
Palm Beach/Eagle Beach: Calm waters close to the bars, resorts, restaurants, hotels and shopping malls.
Day trips:
You can do the guided day tour which will cover all the highlights inside the National Park Arikok, such as Conchi natural pool, caves, Dos Playa beach and also Baby beach.
Places to eat & drink in Aruba
Willem's Dutch Pancakes: Charming Dutch eatery under the windmill and delicious pancakes.
Eduardo's Hideaway: Breakfast bowls, pastries and tacos are excellent. Great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
O'Niel Caribbean Kitchen: This is a good place to eat after Baby Beach if you go by car.
West Deck: Great view and wonderful food. A bit more expensive, but worth it. Lunch and dinner.
Santos Cafe: Awesome cafe, kombucha and tea.
Local Store: Beers, delicious wings, burgers, sandwiches and good vibes.
Saliña Local Cuisine: Arepas, kids' menu, bar with poolside seating and excellent sunset views, breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
Need to know
Requirements: A valid passport upon entry is required for your stay. Also, there is a specific website where you can complete the Embarkation and Disembarkation card (Online ED Card) and pay a sustainability fee for visitors arriving by air to the island as of July 2024.
Driving: The best way to get around the island is by renting a car and ensuring the place you stay has a parking option. Depending on your driving skills, driving in Aruba can be relaxing. I noticed that they have something called roundabouts, similar to traffic circles and a few signal lights.
