Curator’s statement

Milos is one of the most exotic and laid-back Greek islands, enchanting visitors with its unpretentious charm and majestic ambiance. Known for its rich history, picturesque fishing villages and stunning indigo bays, Milos offers a variety of landscapes, each unique and breathtaking. Iconic beaches like Sarakiniko, with its lunar landscape, and Kleftiko, a former pirate hideaway with towering rock formations, highlight Milos' natural beauty, while colorful fishing villages like Klima and Firopotamos add to its timeless allure. Popular with couples, the island's serene natural landscape and numerous caves create a perfect setting for romantic getaways.

Things to do in Milos

A view from the ocean looking at the city along the coast line with boats at the dock of Adamantas, Milos.
  • Sarakiniko Beach: Its lunar landscape is unlike anything you’ve seen before.

  • Kleftiko (Pirate Caves): Towering rock formations and emerald waters — take a boat tour and discover these former pirate hideaways — now a trademark of Milos island.

  • Catamaran Tour: In addition to the boat tour above (which you can also do by Catamaran), another wonderful way to see and experience Milos is from the water’s edge.

  • Quadbike: The only way (well, the fun way!) to travel around the island is on a quad/4-wheeler ATV.

  • Beach Hopping: Besides Sarakiniko and Kleftiko, Milos is home to over 40 exquisite and unique beaches, like Tsigrado, Paleochori, Agia Kyriaki and Firiplaka.

  • Visit Klim and other fishing villages

  • Stroll around Plaka village

  • Watch the sunset from Kastro — an old Venetian castle.

  • Visit the Ancient Theater, the Catacombs and more sights on the island.

  • Take a sea-canoeing tour

  • Shopping! (Of course)

  • Why not take a scuba diving lesson?
