Day 1: Arriving in Sorrento

A scenic drive along the Amalfi Coast offers some of the most breathtaking views in Italy. Today is all about hiking, charming towns and delicious Italian food.
Morning Hike at the Path of the Gods
One of the most famous hikes in Italy, the Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods) offers panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast. The trail is about 4.7 miles (7.5 km) and takes around 3–4 hours, depending on pace. Trailhead: Bomerano (easily reached by bus or taxi from Sorrento). Tip: Wear sturdy shoes, bring water and start early to avoid the midday heat.

Afternoon exploring Ravello

Trail info: The 2.4-mile (3.9 km) hike to the crater takes about 1.5 hours round-trip. Tip: Buy tickets in advance for both the hike and shuttle to the trailhead.

Afternoon: Explore Pompeii
