Things to do in Paris

Can't you just imagine the Insta pics at Les Colonnes de Buren?

Afternoon tea like a queen: Treat yourself to a fancy tea time at Hôtel de Crillon, Plaza Athénée or Le Meurice. Tiny pastries, clinking teacups and major Parisian vibes included.

Spa day at Le Royal Monceau: What’s a girls’ trip without a little self-care? Unwind with a luxe Caudalie treatment in one of Paris’s most stunning hotels.

Fondation Louis Vuitton: A modern art lover’s dream! The building itself is a masterpiece, and the exhibits are always worth the visit. Bonus: It’s in the Bois de Boulogne, the perfect place to stroll around afterwards.

Les Colonnes de Buren: These black-and-white striped columns at Palais Royal are basically an open invitation for the perfect Insta pic. Strike a pose, jump from column to column or just soak in the artsy vibes — either way, it’s a must-stop for your Paris photo dump!

Shopping spree: Stroll Avenue Montaigne and Rue Saint-Honoré for all things designer (Dior Café is a must!), then hit up Samaritaine and the classic department stores — Bon Marché, Galeries Lafayette and Printemps — for even more Parisian fashion finds.

Vintage shopping in Le Marais: Skip the fast fashion and hunt for one-of-a-kind treasures at Thanx God I’m a V.I.P., Kilo Shop or Chinemachine. Who knows? You might just leave with the perfect vintage Chanel.

Pharmacy skincare haul: French girls swear by their pharmacies for skincare, and you should, too. Stock up on cult favorites like Bioderma, Nuxe and Caudalie for a fraction of US prices. Bonus: you can find great things at almost any pharmacy, so stop by the closest one to you!

Café people-watching: What’s more French than gossiping at a café? Grab an espresso, snag a seat at Café de Flore or Les Deux Magots and enjoy the ultimate Parisian pastime — watching the world (and impeccably dressed locals) go by.

Rue de Passy: This is where stylish locals actually shop. Find French brands you won’t see in the US, plus cute cafés for a mid-shopping break.

Places to eat & drink in Paris

Gigi: A chic Italian restaurant with a glam vibe, Gigi is all about fresh pasta, beautiful people and cocktails that hit just right. The perfect spot for a stylish dinner with a side of people-watching.

Loulou: Nestled in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Loulou is the definition of Parisian elegance, with a menu of delicious French-Italian fusion dishes. Tip: Try to get a table outside so you can enjoy a view of the Louvre at night!

Manko: This Peruvian-inspired spot serves up delicious food and cocktails in a sultry setting. A little glam, a little spice — Manko’s perfect for a chic night out.

Hôtel Costes: A Paris classic, Hôtel Costes is the place to see and be seen. Perfect for a glamorous meal or a nightcap in the heart of the city.

Le Crillon Jazz Bar: Head to the Crillon’s jazz bar to unwind with a cocktail after a day of exploring. The beautiful ceilings will lure you in, but the vibes will make sure you keep ordering drinks!

Dinand: A charming, quirky spot with toys all over the walls and delicious food to match! Perfect for a quick lunch.

Le Brach: If you’re in the mood for Mediterranean food, this is the place to be. Bonus: If you go on a Thursday, you’ll vibe out with the live band.

Matignon: Enjoy a delicious dinner, then head to the club downstairs for dancing and cocktails.

Chez Janou: A cozy bistro in Le Marais serving up French food with a Provençal twist. Don’t leave without ordering their famous chocolate mousse!

Need to know

Dress the part: In Paris, sneakers and flat shoes are often a no-go for entry to chic spots, especially at night. Be prepared to slip into a pair of heels — no surprise if a bouncer turns you away for not being "fancy enough."

Late dinner vibes: Parisians love their late dinners, so don’t even think about showing up before 8 pm! The city truly comes alive after dark, so embrace the late-night dining culture.

Sunday shop shutdown: Many shops in Paris close on Sundays, so be sure to plan your shopping days accordingly. You don’t want to be left staring at closed storefronts!

Midday breaks: In between lunch and dinner, many restaurants take a break. Make sure to check hours before heading out for a spontaneous meal!
