Day 1: Boat day in Positano

A cliffside next to a body of water during the daytime

After a restful night following your private car transfer from Naples, you’re refreshed and ready to head out on your Amalfi Coast adventure. Let's begin your journey with an iconic boat day in Positano. Walk down to the dock and step aboard a private boat for a relaxing cruise along the iconic Amalfi Coast. With a prosecco in hand, you are finally able to kick back and enjoy the stunning scenery as you cruise by charming coastal villages. Stop for lunch at Lo Scogli, Stanley Tucci's favorite spaghetti and zucchini dish, Spaghetti alla Nerano and soak in those views. Afterward, head back on the boat, grab a noodle and dive into the crystal-clear waters or simply relax onboard and soak in the sun! Head back to your accommodations and get ready to head out for dinner. If you are in the mood for some delicious pizza head to Ristorante Saraceno d'Oro.

Day 2: Ferry to Capri

View of the ocean from a hillside

A magical day on the island of Capri awaits! Whether you opt for the ferry or a private boat from Positano, your adventure begins with a trip to one of the Mediterranean’s most enchanting islands. Ride the funicular up to the main Piazzetta and grab a cappuccino and pastry before making your way to Anacapri, where a ride on the Mount Solaro Chairlift will leave you speechless with its panoramic views. Grab a snack at the charming café at the top if the Italian breakfast isn’t enough, but save room for lunch! You’ll enjoy a seafood feast at the beachside restaurant Il Riccio, with stunning views of the Blue Grotto. Post-lunch, head to the Gardens of Augustus and enjoy a stroll down the scenic Via Krupp. And last but certainly not least, be sure to carve out time for Capri’s unparalleled shopping scene. From high-end designer boutiques to charming local shops selling handmade sandals, it’s a shopping experience you won’t want to miss. End your perfect day at Capri Rooftop, where you can enjoy a drink with the most perfect backdrop.

Day 3: Cooking class in Amalfi

Immerse yourself in the flavors of Italy with a cooking class at Amalfi Gardens, tucked in the hillside lemon groves just outside the town of Amalfi. Begin with a garden stroll to pick fresh herbs and lemons, then step into the kitchen for a hands-on lesson in creating traditional Amalfi dishes like handmade pasta and fresh seafood. Guided by local chefs, you’ll learn the stories behind each recipe, highlighting the importance of seasonal, local ingredients. After cooking, savor your meal with a glass of local wine at the outdoor dining table overlooking the Mediterranean. Back in Positano, treat yourself to an aperitivo at Franco’s Bar before dining at Da Vincenzo, a favorite among locals for its rustic charm and seasonal dishes, or indulging in the Michelin-starred experience at La Sponda. Don’t forget to stop by Collina Bakery for a late-night dessert!

Day 4: Beach clubs and relaxation

Dining room with view of ocean.

Today is all about relaxation, and Positano’s beach clubs are the perfect place to unwind. There are several options to choose from, depending on the atmosphere you’re seeking. Da Ferdinando Beach Club, is a laid-back spot offering the perfect setting to lounge in the sun and sip refreshing cocktails. For a more luxurious experience, take a short boat ride to Treville Beach Club, where private sunbeds and gourmet seaside dining promise a blissful escape. If you prefer a more rustic vibe, head to my favorite Da Adolfo, famed for its fresh seafood and welcoming atmosphere — an idyllic spot for a long, lazy afternoon by the sea. La Scogliera Positano is also a popular choice that offers a mix of celebrity sightings, fabulous views and expertly crafted cocktails, making it an ideal place to round off a perfect day. You’ll want to make sure to reserve your spot in advance at any of these clubs to ensure a seamless and relaxing experience.

Day 5: Explore Ravello and beyond

For your last day of this unforgettable Amalfi Coast adventure, you will head to the picturesque hilltop town of Ravello. Known for its sweeping views, Ravello offers a serene retreat from the bustling coast, making it the perfect final stop. Stroll through the historic Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, each showcasing stunning gardens and exquisite architecture that will leave you in awe. Take a moment to relax on one of the town’s many terraces, where the views are as magnificent as they are endless. If you’re up for a bit of adventure, hike the famous Path of the Gods — a trail that rewards you with breathtaking vistas of the entire coast, creating memories to cherish long after your journey ends.

Additional days

If you have more time, consider a free day to explore even further. Whether it’s a full day of hiking the famous Path of the Gods, a cliff top trail that runs down the coastline or exploring the history of Pompeii, or simply enjoying another day at the beach, the Amalfi Coast has endless opportunities for exploration. Feeling adventurous? Rent a scooter or car and drive along the coast, stopping at charming villages and breathtaking viewpoints.
