Things to do in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida

Walt Disney World Theme Parks

WDW offers four parks including the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Each park has its own theme and offers a variety of entertainment options for the whole family including rollercoasters, stage shows, amazing dining options, character meet and greets and attractions for even the smallest babies.

Other Orlando Area Theme Parks

Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventure are both close to Disney and make another great option for for those adrenaline junkies in the family who are looking for more intense thrills. Also within driving distance are Busch Gardens, ICON park and Seaworld.

Water Parks

Everyone knows Florida can be unbearably hot so why not take a day or two to cool off at a water park. Walt Disney World offers two water parks: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, while Universal Studios has their own water park— Volcano Bay.

Resort Day

While spending your days at the parks can be fun it is also exhausting! Make sure to schedule some rest time since this is your vacation after all. Each Disney resort offers a wide range of activities so why not spend the day hanging out by the resort pool, sleeping in and grabbing a drink at the pool bar.

Disney Springs

Walt Disney World also offers its own shopping district that has hundreds of shops, bars and restaurants. Spend the day wandering through shops or enjoying a delicious meal without having to pay for park tickets.

Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ - Order the hot honey chicken biscuits. You wont regret it!

Wine Bar George - Excellent charcuterie board and mac and cheese balls.

Magic Kingdom

Jungle Navigation Co. Skipper Canteen - A super fun environment with cheesy jokes and wonderful staff.

Casey’s Corner - The corn dog nuggets are a wonderful late-night snack when leaving the park.

Animal Kingdom Lodge

Boma - Zebra domes for dessert are absolutely delicious!

Hollywood Studios

Baseline Tap House - Excellent giant soft pretzel and a nice selection of beer.
