Things to do in London and Oxford
London
Major Landmarks: You can’t visit London without seeing some of the major landmarks (Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Tower of London, etc.) It is surprisingly easy to hit all these in one day by walking.
Visit a Pub: If you are lucky enough to be in the UK on a Sunday, you must visit a pub for their Sunday Roast. This traditional British dish brings all the cozy vibes and a hearty meal, come hungry!
Portobello St Market: If you are a fan of vintage goods, each weekend, this market becomes a hot spot for the best one-of-a-kind items. There are dozens of vendors along this beautiful street where you can find designer purses, fur coats and the best antiques. While you are here, you must visit the colorful, picturesque houses for your Instagram feed.
Oxford
Oxford University: This historic university is made up of 36 colleges, which are located throughout the city. The first 3 colleges date back to the 13th century. This university has been featured in many films, most famously Harry Potter.
Blenheim Palace: The birthplace of Winston Churchill. This gorgeous palace dates back to 1704 as a gift to the Duke of Marlborough by Queen Anne. Just a 20-minute drive from the center of Oxford, this is the perfect way to spend an afternoon. You are able to tour everything from the beautiful state rooms to the exquisite gardens, even a Winston Churchill exhibit!
Christ Church: A part of Oxford University, Christ Church is one of the most well-known sites. Its stunning architecture and beautiful meadows make it a major attraction. In the heart of this city, you will find majestic cows grazing in the fields right outside this cathedral.
