Advisor - Live Out Your NYC Rom-Com Dreams
Curator’s statement

To me, New York City is not just a place — it’s a feeling. I fully credit my love of romantic comedies for sparking my obsession with this city, and every visit only deepens my love for it. There’s something for everyone in NYC, whether you’re strolling through Central Park or taking in the skyline from the Empire State Building. The Big Apple feels like something straight out of a movie — because, in many ways, it is.

Things to do in NYC

  • Explore and shop West Village - I think West Village is one of the prettiest areas of NYC and I could have spent a whole second day exploring this neighborhood. If you are a tourist in the area and want to take home a fun and unique souvenir, check out Boyar Gifts. Not only does West Village have some amazing boutique shops and delicious restaurants and cafes, but it is also just an iconic area if you are a Sex and the City fan! Look out of the famous house at 64 Perry Street. Or check out the Friends apartment on 90 Bedford Street.

  • Pier 57 Market is a food hall located on the Hudson River waterfront in the Chelsea neighborhood. It offers a diverse range of food vendors — everything from gourmet street food to international cuisines — for a very affordable price. Take your food up to the roof for secluded views of the Hudson River and NYC skyline.

  • Broadway show - It wouldn't be a trip to NYC without a night at the theater. It is such a fun way to immerse yourself in the NYC culture and you are sure to have a great time! For a unique experience, head to Sardi's after your show for desserts and drinks with an actor from the show! Message me to discover more.

  • Central Park - It also wouldn't be a trip to NYC without a stroll through Central Park. If you are a movie enthusiast like me, you will love seeing all of the spots in Central Park that are featured in movies. My suggestion would be to start with a walk through the Plaza hotel then head into the park. Stop by Gapstow Bridge for a picture-perfect view of the Plaza. Continue your walk through Central Park and walk through The Mall & Literary Walk (where all the movies are filmed). You will then come across Bethesda Fountain and Terrace. After taking in the vibes here, head to Bow Bridge and take a paddleboat out, really pretending like you are in an NYC rom-com!

  • Walk the High Line - Formerly an elevated railway track, the High Line stretches from the Meatpacking District to Hudson Yards. With lush gardens, walking paths and stunning views of the city, it's a favorite spot for leisurely strolls, art installations and enjoying scenic urban landscapes.

  • NYC ferry - The ferry costs $4 for a boat ride across the river. It is a great way to see the NYC skyline, Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge for a very affordable price. Take it at sunset for some amazing views!

  • Take a tour of NBC Studios or catch a live taping of a late-night show! Step behind the scenes of your favorite TV sets and experience the glitz and glamour of New York City firsthand.

  • Chelsea Market - Eat and shop your way through the Chelsea Market. Tacos, lobster rolls, ramen, cheese, churros, donuts - you name it, the Chelsea Market is a foodie's heaven.

  • Shop in SoHo!

Need to know

Don't be afraid to take the subway! It is such an easy, fast and affordable way to navigate through the city, and it's much faster than taking a taxi. Plug your destination into Apple or Google Maps and it will tell you exactly how many stops to take to get to your destination.
