• Costal Roots Farm- open the second Sunday of every month for tours, or private tours are available. Costal Roots Farm is a tucked away farm that is built around ancient Jewish values, sharing their harvest with those who lack access to food, providing education on farming techniques, and hosting events to educate the community on building a sustainable future.

Parks and Playgrounds

As a parent who travels with her three smaller children often I am always on the hunt for playgrounds or parks when I travel so my kids can get their wiggles out and play with other children. Below are some of our favorite parks located throughout the county.

• Balboa Park- with a few playgrounds sprinkled throughout Balboa Park is known for its museums and being home to the World Famous San Diego Zoo. Located near downtown San Diego this historic park is a great place to spend an afternoon or a full day.

• Belmont Park- historic amusement park located on the beach in San Diego's Mission Beach neighborhood. Expect to find your typical amusement park rides and attractions, as well as an escape room, mini golf, and ropes course.
