Curator’s statement
Paris, France is one of those destinations where you can’t go wrong falling into the cliches, visiting the tourist spots and still enjoying a lovely romantic time in the City of Light. The truth is that the French capital feels all the more charged with love and tenderness even as you weave through tourist crowds. This guide embraces the best of it all, from excellent hotel stays in true gems to exploring the best of Paris, including Notre Dame, Eiffel Tour, L’Arc de Triomphe and so much more. And in the midst of it all, don’t forget to take a seat at a roadside cafe or on the banks of the Seine and indulge in an afternoon apero glass of wine.

Day 1: Notre Dame and the Quartier Latin
Start the day with a walk by the Notre Dame Cathedral. Unfortunately, after the recent fire, the cathedral is closed, but you can still see all of its glory from the outside and enjoy its gardens and/or hang out on the banks of the Seine.
Then, cross the bridge to explore Shakespeare and Company bookstore area. Finally, walk to and explore the Pantheon and take a much-undermined tour of this spectacular institution embraced by La Sorbonne University on all of its sides.
Get cream puffs from Odette, stop by Topo Rive Gauche and treat yourself to a meal, appetizers or just drinks! Say hello to Elody for me!
Day 2: Château de Versailles
Take the RER train to the Palace of Versailles for the day. It is an excellent time to visit the royal palace as the gardens have been recently revamped and given a break during the pandemic. Needless to say, the castle is in tip-top shape. Consider taking free audio set for a very animated guided tour.
Day 3: Explore the 1st Arrondissement
Visit the Louvre Museum and Tuileries Garden today. First, enjoy one of the highest-recognized art institutions in the world and then unwind from the plethora of art in the gardens. Then, check out Le Café Marly restaurant close to the Louvre for lunch with a view.
Day 4: Catacombs, Arc de Triomphe & Eiffel Tour
Explore the Catacombs of Paris. It’s an excellent destination to avoid tourists and climb down into the Paris underworld. Then head over to see the Arc de Triomphe (feel free to take a touristy shot with the monument!) and walk down to the Eiffel Tower. You can go up the tower and/or simply enjoy its views from distinct viewpoints and the Champ de Mars.
Head to Girafe Paris for a lovely seafood dinner and, if the balcony is open, the best view in Paris! Wait for the sun to sit and watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle.
Day 5: One-on-one with the Seine
Last but not least, see the city from the famous Seine River through a boat cruise or rental. Alternatively, you can also head to Monoprix, pack a picnic and enjoy its banks with a wine or beer in hand.
For a final meal, indulge in Ze Kitchen Galerie for a degustation menu for a final dinner in Paris, France.
