Curator’s statement
The beautiful Turks & Caicos Islands are a close trip from the US's East Coast and boast some of the best snorkeling and diving in the Caribbean. Grace Bay Resorts offer many options for travelers hoping to enjoy some time on the stunning beaches. If you have your eye on the most touristed island — Providenciales, or Provo, as it's lovingly referred to — Grace Bay Resorts offer many options to create a memorable experience. My Fora colleagues and I had the opportunity to tour the collection and we wouldn't hold back our opinions from you! Here's where to book depending on your unique style and needs.

The properties at Grace Bay Resorts
West Bay Club
West Bay Club sits on one of the most enviable stretches of white-sand beach on the island. The accommodations are large and very family-friendly, with some offering kitchens and in-unit laundry. There are large balconies facing the ocean and, down at the beach, you'll find a beach attendant to help you secure the perfect sunbed. Dining is available right on the dunes or at your seat if you wish. Non-motorized water sports toys are available to guests as well. And for those who tire of the beach, there is a lovely pool to relax in.
Point Grace
Charming and intimate is the Point Grace. This boutique property includes only 28 newly renovated cottages, suites and penthouses. I visited this property with a group of my colleagues and we all commented on how reminiscent the style is of Key West. The highlight of this property — which draws in visitors who are not staying onsite — is Gracie's Cottage, offering award-winning dining in a lovely outdoor garden. The tile backsplash behind the bar is stunning!
Grace Bay Club
Grace Bay Club may be the grand dame of the collection as it is the first and most well known. There are three sections to this property, all along the beach. Guests have their choice of an adults-only haven with its own restaurant and pool or Villa Suites that are perfect for families. This area also has dining options and a family-friendly pool. And for those seeking privacy and true luxury, the Enclave provides just that. Each suite comes with its own concierge and there is a luxurious spa on site.
Rock House
I can sum this up in one word: SEXY. Rock House sits on a rocky cliffside on the north side of the island, away from sandy beach of Grace Bay. The accommodations are luxurious and modern, some with their own private plunge or infinity pools, outdoor terraces and even some with secluded outdoor showers. The main pool and beach club are lively, with a rosé all day kind of vibe. Cliffside dining provides beautiful sunset views and award-winning food. Guests will feel that indescribable feeling of being in a European beach town.
South Bank
South Bank is the newest community in the Grace Bay Resorts, with opening scheduled for November 2024. It is truly a lifestyle opportunity, with villa accommodations in three distinct communities — Boathouse, Lagoon and Estate Villas — all centered around the spa, unique dining and water sport activities. There are even boat slips to accommodate those who enjoy the boating lifestyle. Stand by for updates as this development matures.
A note from Teresa
Caicos Island Charters provides very popular charters complete with snorkeling at Leeward Reef, a visit to uninhabited Iguana Island and cruising Half Moon Bay. Snacks and bevvies are provided. This was a highlight of our trip!
Places to eat & drink at Grace Bay Resorts
When booking with us, daily breakfast is included at all properties — no need to go far in search of that.
While it's part of our job to test the food and beverage outlets we recommend to our clients, we did venture off property to enjoy some local cuisine at the iconic Da Conch Shack, named one of the world's best beach bars. Did you even go to Turks & Caicos if you didn't make a stop for their rum punch and beach scene? Of course the menu features conch, but they also have fresh, local seafood and jerk chicken.
Pro tip: The airport does not provide good dining options, so I highly recommend eating prior to heading to the airport or having your resort provide a boxed lunch to take along.
Need to know
All island getaways can be pricey, and Turks & Caicos is no exception. Islands often cater to luxury clients, so you pay for that exclusivity. Not only that, but island destinations rely on supplies from the mainland, making transportation of goods — including food — expensive.
But island escapes also provide unique experiences and memories that you will carry for a lifetime. Visiting in a shoulder season could be a budget-friendly alternative.
Pro tip: Book with a travel advisor like me! We have the relationships to get you the VIP treatment and the little unexpected extras added to your reservation that you won't get with online booking service.
