Curator’s statement

Copenhagen, the charming capital of Denmark, has captured the hearts of travelers worldwide with its enchanting blend of historic charm, modern flair and unparalleled quality of life. If you're obsessed with this Scandinavian gem like me, get ready to be swept off your feet by its irresistible allure.

One of the reasons Copenhagen holds such a special place in my heart is its embodiment of the Danish concept of "hygge." This untranslatable word encapsulates the cozy, warm and inviting atmosphere that permeates every corner of the city. From the inviting cafés serving delectable pastries to the flickering candlelight in cozy living rooms, Copenhagen exudes a sense of contentment and well-being that is truly infectious.

Day 1: Explore the Trendy Neighborhoods

Start your Copenhagen adventure by diving into the city's trendiest neighborhoods like Nørrebro and Vesterbro. Nørrebro is known for its eclectic mix of design shops, cozy cafés and hip bars. Don't miss spots like Jægersborggade for shopping, Bistro Boheme for a draft beer and fries pit stop and Lille Bakery for a quick fika. Grab coffee at Coffee Collective Bernikow and pastries at Hart Bageri, two of the city's best bakeries.

In Vesterbro, wander the streets checking out vintage stores like Carmen Copenhagen, PRAG Vesterbro and Episode. For lunch, grab an open-faced sando at Selma, a local favorite. In the evening, head to Meatpacking District hotspots like Restaurant Gorilla for creative shared plates and cocktails. After, check out Broens Gadekøkken for "elevated street food" from creative vendors.

Day 2: Iconic Attractions & Local Cuisine

Get an early start with a classic Danish breakfast at Andersen Bakery, the oldest bakery in Copenhagen dating back to 1912. Then visit the iconic Church of Our Saviour and climb the 400 steps to the top for 360-degree city views.

For lunch, indulge in smørrebrød at the historic Schønnemann. Or Atelier September for incredible rye bread and matcha drinks.

In the afternoon, explore Christiania. For dinner, make a reservation at Bæst for pizza or Paté Paté for a cozy night with natural wines. Or try Punk Royale for a fun, hectic "drunk dining" experience.

Day 3: Museums, Markets & Street Food

Begin at Torvehallerne food hall, browsing stalls like Coffee Collective, Granny's House and Ma Poule's sandwiches. Then explore the Designmuseum Denmark.

For lunch, get authentic dim sum at Magasasa Dim Sum & Cocktails. After, visit Noma for their tasting menu experience or Reffen for street food like Dhaba Indian.

Take an evening boat tour, then enjoy natural wines and simple plates at Vinhanen wine bar. Or get your caffeine fix at Ø12 Coffee and Eatery before hitting Dia'legd - Ølbar for craft beers and wine.

Day 4: Art, Culture & Nightlife

Visit Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek and have lunch at Kadeau restaurant. Spend the afternoon in Tivoli Gardens, grabbing a drink at Sticks'n'Sushi Tivoli Haven.

For dinner, splurge at Alchemist or book Silo for 4-courses with panoramic views. Or for a more affordable option, try Gasoline Grill burgers. Get a pre-dinner drink at Trio Restaurant & Bar for city views.

End your night in the Meatpacking District at spots like Gaia Cocktails, Léanowski Bar and Duck and Cover.

Day 5: Shopping, Cafés & Relaxation

An aerial view of the city during daytime.

Enjoy a leisurely brunch at Wulff & Konstali Food Shop or Mirabelle Cafe. Shop home goods at Basic & More, Søstrene Grene and Notre Dame.

Do vintage shopping at Kabomani Frederiksberg or Trendsales market. For lunch, try the all-you-can-eat Koreansk B.B.Q.

For your final dinner, get a table at three-star Michelin Geranium or visit Juno the Bakery, opened by a Noma pastry chef.

End your trip with beers in the summer vibe of Mikkeller Baghaven.
