Curator’s statement

Since my first visit in 2015, Cabo San Lucas has held a special place in my heart, and serves as my preferred all-inclusive destination. The resorts on Medano Beach, Cabo, offer a luxurious five-star experience that consistently impresses. I'm drawn to the authentic and flavorful cuisine, especially the fresh seafood dishes that highlight the region's culinary expertise. Medano Beach is stunning, with warm, shallow waters perfect for leisurely swims while admiring the iconic Arch of Cabo San Lucas. It's a place where my soul feels rejuvenated and alive, making it easy for me to recommend Cabo as a top travel destination.

Hotels

Stay at Pueblo Bonito Rose Resort Medano Beach Cabo, with charming pink décor, kitchenettes, spacious living areas and terraces or patios overlooking the large pool leading towards the ocean. Guests enjoy an all-inclusive experience with meals, drinks, direct beach access and access to facilities at sister resorts all included. The resort also provides a free shuttle service between properties. Additionally, guests can enjoy on-site tennis courts and access to Quivera Golf Club through sister properties, offering plenty of leisure options. Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, family vacation or solo adventure, Pueblo Bonito Rose Resort and Spa on Medano Beach, Cabo ensures a memorable stay for you and your family.

Walk or Take a Taxi to downtown Cabo San Lucas where you’ll find Plaza Puerto Paraiso just at the end of Medano Beach, where you will find a luxurious mall, the Marina of Cabo and restaurants lined up alongside. From here, you can book a sunset cruise on a catamaran around Medano Beach and enjoy the beautiful views of the Cabo Arch and view all the resorts on Medano beach from a different perspective, all while enjoying some champagne and enjoying the sunset.

Tours

From your Resort on Medano Beach, book a tour to the infamous The Arch of Cabo San Lucas, a natural rock formation at the southern tip of Cabo San Lucas where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez meet. The area surrounding the Arch is known for its rich marine life, making it a popular spot for snorkeling and boat tours.

Water sports

If you're adventurous, consider parasailing, Jet-Skiing or trying the X-JetPack alongside the resorts on Medano Beach, Cabo. It's the perfect place to enjoy water activities, being one of the longest and few swimmable beaches in Cabo San Lucas. I prefer to relax on the beach and watch others soar high in the sky, soaking up the sun and getting a tan.

Hotel alternative

If all-inclusive isn't your preference, consider booking a stay at the Hacienda Beach Club & Residences Resort on Medano Beach in Cabo. This resort offers a secluded atmosphere with a private beach, stunning views, spacious pools and luxurious accommodations that create a sense of being on your own private getaway. It's conveniently located a short walk from the marina, providing access to calmer waters ideal for families and children. The resort also features amenities such as snorkeling, kayaking and other non-motorized water sports equipment onsite. Plus, there's a spectacular oceanfront restaurant that I'll get into later.

Tips/advice

Consider hiring a private photographer during your stay at any resort on Medano Beach, as many offer this service for guests, providing an opportunity to capture more than just selfies and casual beach photos. Imagine professional portraits with your loved ones against the stunning backdrop of Medano Beach, with the iconic Arch or a breathtaking sunset in view. These photos become cherished memories, adding an unforgettable touch to your vacation in Cabo San Lucas that you'll reminisce about for years to come.

Day trips

Explore Todos Santos — Take a day trip to Todos Santos, a charming town known for its art galleries, colonial architecture and surf beaches. It's about an hour's drive from Medano Beach and offers a tranquil escape from the bustling beachfront.

Places to eat & drink in Medano Beach, Cabo

While most Resorts on Medano Beach Cabo provide all-inclusive options, there are alternatives for those looking to explore beyond. Having experienced both during my stays in Cabo San Lucas, I'll share the places I recommend:

1. Enjoy lunch at The Office on the Beach, a renowned restaurant situated directly on Medano Beach. Delight in fresh seafood with a prime terraced location near the harbor. As you enter, admire a vibrant display of local spirits and colorful crafts lining the cobblestone walk to two levels of dining. Experience prompt, friendly service for both drinks and dinner, complemented by an extensive menu featuring exquisitely prepared local specialties and delectable seafood options. Dine outdoors on upper and lower levels just steps away from the beach.

2. For dinner, try COCINA Y CANTINA located in the Hacienda Beach Club Resort on Medano Beach Cabo. This traditional Mexican restaurant provides an enjoyable oceanfront dining experience that blends elegance with a laid-back atmosphere. I delighted in dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients, relishing the distinctive regional flavors served in a charming open-air setting with authentic Mexican architecture all around. The sweeping views of Land's End and calmness of Medano beach waters added to the memorable experience, making it a perfect complement to the natural beauty of Cabo San Lucas.

3. For drinks, Sunsets and Sushi Bar, situated within Pueblo Bonito Rose Resort on Medano Beach, welcomes guests staying at this property or any of its sister resorts. This beachfront sushi spot offers an ideal setting to savor stunning sunsets alongside sushi and cocktails, all to the soothing sounds of the ocean waves.

4. For special occasions, consider Sunset Mona Lisa. Though not located on Medano Beach, it boasts breathtaking views overlooking Cabo San Lucas, particularly enchanting at sunset. Perched on a cliff with vistas of the Sea of Cortez, it provides an ideal backdrop for a romantic evening or memorable celebration.

5. For breakfast, consider leaving your resort and heading further down on Medano Beach to Mango Deck for breakfast on the sand with a view.

6. For dinner with your group or for families, not far from Medano Beach, try Romeo & Julieta a really beautiful Italian restaurant in the heart of Cabo San Lucas. Tip - Request to sit in their patio, while enjoying your dinner, looking up at the stars while sipping on a glass of wine and enjoying the live music.

7. For lunch or dinner, enjoy a meal at 12 Tribes within Casa Dorata Resort on Medano Beach. This restaurant offers contemporary Mexican cuisine in a calming and relaxing atmosphere, complemented by excellent service and impressive food presentation. Enjoy clean, tasteful decor with panoramic sea views and soothing live background music that enhances the dining experience. Tip: Order the Mexican combination platter if you’re looking for a meal to share.
