Things to do in Patagonia

A vibrant street view with colorful buildings and ornate balconies under a clear sky.

Buenos Aires

Explore the southern neighborhoods of one of the world’s most exciting capitals. Begin at Plaza de Mayo. Named in commemoration of the revolution, the plaza has been a key to Argentine history and has witnessed some of its most defining moments. Next, head to San Telmo, the oldest neighborhood in Buenos Aires. With bohemian charm, it still maintains much of its original architecture, with historic mansions and cobbled streets lined with antique stores, coffee houses and trendy restaurants and bars. Continue to the old port of La Boca, strolling through the famous Caminito. The area’s colorful houses are made of wood and tin with iron balconies, typical of the dwellings built by immigrants from the late 19th century. Harsh conditions for the working classes in the early 20th century forged new customs and social behavior, leading to an explosion of tango, poetry and theatrics as well as an infinite passion for football, still strongly ingrained to the present day. Last but not least is Puerto Madero. Walk the docks, delve into its history as a former dockside enclave, now transformed into a showcase of contemporary architecture, sleek skyscrapers, upscale dining establishments and a natural reserve.

Los Glaciares National Park

Sail in luxury around Southern Patagonia's Los Glaciares National Park during a full-day sightseeing cruise. Board at La Soledad Port, before visiting the stunning Escuadra Bay and the Condor Nesting Wall. Watch these beautiful birds in action. Marvel at the majestic natural wonders of the Seco, Heim and Spegazzini Glaciers from the catamaran's four outer decks. Disembark at "Puesto Las Vacas" station for a short walk. Then, visit Upsala Canal and enjoy panoramic views of the spectacular Upsala and Bertracchi Glaciers. Indulge in a gourmet lunch onboard. Navigate along Canal de los Témpanos towards the Northern face of the Perito Moreno Glacier, and disembark at La Soledad Port. This activity complements a visit to the walkways. Enjoy a short boat trip in front of the glacier and a walk with crampons on the glacier itself accompanied by mountain guides. The ice trekking lasts for two hours. It's a unique and unforgettable experience!

Torres del Paine National Park

The park is surrounded by the impressive Paine Mountain range. With unusually shaped mountains, glaciers, lakes and waterfalls, plus unique flora and fauna, Torres del Paine is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world. The park was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1978. Stay at the incredible Explora Torres del Paine on the banks of the Salto Chico waterfall. It affords an excellent view of the unique Paine Massif and two of the three impressive torres, or towers, which give the park its name. Designed to create a dialogue with its environment, the lodge puts human beings in touch with the sublimity of their surroundings. Choose from over 35 guided hikes and horseback rides and varying difficulty levels ranging from easy to expert, and different durations, half-day or full day.

Embark on a nomadic journey which takes several days, as you travel through little-known, remote areas of remarkable beauty. Throughout the journey, cross-country borders, explore diverse areas and stay in many different places, all adapted to be simple yet comfortable. Enjoy high-quality meals, perfect for the energy you will need for the physical exertion of the journey, always together with good company and conversation. Travel in special well-equipped vehicles with satellite communication capabilities. Each intimate group will be accompanied by an expert guide, a chef and support personnel.
