Things to do in Ao Nang, Krabi
Afternoon walk along the beach & climb the stairs of The Monkey Trail - A path through the jungle with wooden steps & rickety bridges, famous for monkey spotting & sunsets. End with a swim to cool you down.
Longtail boat to Railay for the day. Buy a ticket from Ao Nang Longtail Boat Service. The trip is approximately 15mins going past some stunning rock formations. Here on Railay, you can be adventurous, or you can simply chill. There is rock climbing, caves to explore, amazing swimming locations & of course, plenty of food choices & a cheeky cocktail or 2. If there are 3+ of you, pay the extra & get a private boat so I don't have to wait around for the boat to be filled.
A sunset cruise with Krabi Sunset Cruises
I love the 5 Island Sunset Cocktail Cruise. It is a 6-7 hour tour with plenty of opportunities for snorkeling & swimming. You are severed a delicious Thai Buffet dinner whilst watching the sunset over the Andaman. But there is still more: on the sail back, you will have a chance to experience swimming in the bio-luminescence after dark; honestly, this is a highlight.
Places to eat & drink in Ao Nang, Krabi
Breakfast/Lunch:
Cafe 8.89 - they have a great menu but for me I can't go past the Cafe 8s Eggs (oven-baked eggs, spicy pepperoni, caramelized onion, sundried tomato, parmesan & toast.
Much & Mellow Cafe - when you sit down, you are presented with 2 massive menus, 1 food, and 1 drink. My tip see something on the menu that takes your fancy order it. Otherwise, if you are like me, you will change your mind every time you turn the page.
Dinner:
CRU Kitchen & Bar - the same owners of Cafe 8.89 so you already know the food will be good. I love ordering Tapas style so I don't get food envy.
Kodam Restaurant: It is a little out of town, but it is worth the taxi ride. Here you will get authentic Thai cuisine with an ambience that cannot be beat.
