Things to do in Negril, Jamaica

Bask in the sun at Seven Mile Beach

Seven Mile Beach is an internationally celebrated stretch of calm turquoise waters and white coral sands. Bright, colorful shacks run by locals selling everything from Jamaican patties to handcrafted items, such as braided bracelets and carved wooden sculptures, are sprinkled along the shore.

After some swimming or snorkeling, stop by Aunty’s Restaurant & Patty Shop for some of the best patties Seven Mile Beach has to offer. There are many tour operators on the beach as well, so feel free to inquire with one. Highly recommend a sunset cruise! Contrary to its name, Seven Mile Beach clocks in at 4 miles long, with the remaining portion extending into Bloody Bay.

An Evening at Zimbali

Zimbali Culinary Retreats is located 30 minutes outside of Negril in Jamaica’s Canaan Mountain. Consistently rated the number one restaurant in Jamaica, Zimbali is a family owned and operated cooking experience that begins with a tour of the farm where, according to chef Alicia, 95% of what you will eat is sourced from.

Places to eat & drink in Negril, Jamaica

Loaded fries in a plate

Ivan’s Bar & Restaurant - If you’re looking for a delicious lobster dinner (think tender and juicy,) this is your spot. Sit under the open-sided thatched roof or under the stars and listen to the ocean crashing against the cliffs below.

Tip Top Surf & Turf Cuisine – Warm, welcoming and helpful staff run this local restaurant. Try the Escovitch Fish, a popular meal found in many restaurants across the island, but Tip Top does it very well.

Aunty’s Restaurant & Patty Shop – This cash only spot is the perfect place to pop in for a quick bite while exploring Seven Mile Beach.
