Things to do In Egypt

Four Seasons

Stay:

Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria: This luxurious hotel lies on the coast of the Mediterranean sea, the facility is divided into two main areas. The main building hosts city and sea view rooms and suites, infinity pool, restaurants and a spa that has a big sunny indoor pool and jaccuzi. The beach area has beach front suites and villas (with private pools), a big pool, beach restaurant and a kids play area. This hotel is the perfect place for Alexandria travelers looking for luxury, a nice getaway from the city's hustle and bustle.

Visit:

Bibliotheca Alexandrina: The new Alexandria Library is a great place to get a sense of Alexandria, what it once was and what it is in the present. With plenty of museums and exhibitions inside, there is something for everyone. Kids can also enjoy 'The ALEXploratorium,' where they can do experiments and learn many science facts.

Citadel of Qaitbay: Built in the 1480s, the fortress was important to protect Alexandria from invaders. The location is also significant because the famous Pharos lighthouse once stood there, one of the ancient world seven wonders.

Montaza Palace Gardens: Once the summer home to the ruling families in Egypt, now the palace and the gardens around it are enjoyed by travelers. Rent a golf car (driver acts as a guide) and explore the area or explore the place by foot and end your visit with a drink (tea obviously) at the King's Tea Island.

The National Museum of Alexandria: A great way to see Alexandria through the ages, each floor represents a phase of Alexandria's past and history.

Royal Jewelry Museum: Not only is the museum showcasing the last royal family's jewelry, it is also great place to see 19th century oil paintings and artistic glass windows.

Stanley Bridge: Take a stroll and watch the sunset from Egypt's first bridge to be built over the sea.

Places to eat & drink In Egypt

Yummy egyptian food

White and Blue, The Greek Club Alexandria: A trip to Alexandria is not complete without a seafood meal! The restaurant serves delicious seafood cooked the Greek way, has a great view of the city of Alexandria and is right next to Citadel of Qaitbay. Reservations are recommended. Tip: ask for a table in the terrace.

Jeeda's: A 2022 winner of 'Luxury Restaurant Awards', Jeeda's is the perfect place to have yummy food surrounded with good ambience. As a Spanish restaurant, menu has a wide variety of delicious tapas and the famous Spanish Paella. Reservations are recommended. Tip: children are not allowed after 6pm so plan accordingly.

Délices: If you are craving a good cup of coffee and a dessert, this is the place to go! Established in 1922 by the same greek family still operating it today, Délices offers a huge amount of dessert options, there is something for everyone that's for sure!

Starbucks Gleem Bay: Strarbucks doesn't need an introduction so I won't even try, but this particular branch has an outdoor area right in the middle of the Mediterranean sea. Gleem Bay is surrounded by the sea on three sides, and the Alexandria city and sea views there don't disappoint.

Gelaty Azza:
Not for the faint hearted, Ice Cream Azza is the ice cream place to try in Alexandria. With many shops all over Alexandria, it's hard to miss it.
