Florence

  • Trattoria 13 Gobbi - Can’t go wrong and is close to the train station.

  • Sostanza - try the bistecca Fiorentina, very limited menu.

  • Osteria Santo Spirito - Very casual but great good! their risotto is amazing.

  • Trattoria Marione - A solid option for a walk-in.

  • Gilli - A classic spot for coffee and people watching on the Piazza Repubblica.

  • Trattoria Cammillo - Old school trattoria, a classic.

  • Mercato Centrale - If you are not sure what you are in the mood for, go here! There is a little bit of everything at the different kiosks, get one of each and share!

  • Acua al 2 - It’s iconic and it’s famous for it’s blueberry steak sauce - however personally I would much rather have the balsamic steak sauce- give it a try!

  • Paoli - The oldest restaurant in Florence- try the Biserno Bibbona 2020 wine - the best bottle of wine I have ever tasted, definitely worth it!

Rome

  • Dillà - You can’t go wrong with any of the pastas there (but I am biased towards the carbonara and gricia).

  • Giolitti - the oldest Gelateria in Rome.

  • Antico Arco - Cute spot open all day for lunch or dinner serving contemporary cuisine

  • Taverna le Coppelle - Need something casual near the Pantheon, great for pizza!

  • Da Cesare - Get the fried gnocchi and calamari for starters, you won’t regret it!
