Where to stay

Day 1-2: The Lay of the Land in Geneva

The fountain in Lake Geneva.

Arrive in Geneva and take your time settling into your hotel. Unwind before going to see The Geneva Water Fountain, walk through the Jardin Anglais (don't miss the flower clock!) and get your first taste of Swiss cuisine for your next meal... or visit a Swiss chocolate shop instead. No one will blame you!

Day 3-4: Head Out to Montreux

Scenic view of the mountains

Spend the next day exploring other parts of Geneva before heading to Montreux. This lakeside city is the gem of Lake Geneva. See Chateau Chillon, hike on Rochers De Naye or even go out on the water with a paddleboard!

Day 5-6: Interlaken

Lake with snow covered mountains.

In the morning, say goodbye to Montreux and wait for your train to come to take you to Interlaken (or, if you prefer, you can drive instead). View both Lakes Thun & Brienz from Two-Lake Bridge on Harder Kulm, take the train for Schynige Platte from Wildersill and have a lakeside picnic. You can take the 6th day to continue exploring spots like Schilhthorn, a James Bond filming location in the 60s, or go south to villages like Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald.

Day 7-10: Visit Grindelwald & Lauterbrunnen

A lake with green meadow and snow covered mountains at the back.

Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen are both packed with things to do! The biggest highlights are all in the mountains such as Grindelwald First where you can hang glide or hike to Bachalpsee, going to the top of Europe via Junfraujoch and First Cliff Walk by Tissot for those unafraid of heights (the views will make up for it.) In Lauterbrunnen, gaze in awe at Trummelbach & Staubbach Falls, explore surrounding villages like Murren, and hike to your heart's content! Tie it all up with a perfect bow by sitting in a hot tub at Boutique Hotel Glacier as the sun goes down.

Day 11-14: Lucerne & Zurich

A river canal across the city.

Leave the mountains and spend your last 4 days in Lucerne and Zurich. You can spend your time as high-paced or as relaxing as you like such as strolling through parks, taking cable cars up to Mount Pilatus (there's even a hotel at the top) and making sure you get some fondue before you leave this beautiful country!

Overview of Additional Days

City beside body of water during daytime.

You can add additional days in any of the previous destinations with ease, have an ultimate spa experience at Burgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spao r extend your magical vacation into Germany or Austria.
