Things to do in French Polynesia

In Tahiti:

Explore Papeete's vibrant markets, such as Le Marché de Papeete, for local crafts and fresh produce.

Hike to Fautaua Waterfall or take a guided tour to explore Tahiti's lush interior and scenic vistas.

In Mo'orea:

Snorkel or dive in the crystal-clear waters of Mo'orea's coral gardens, such as Temae.

Kayak or paddleboard along Mo'orea's scenic coastline or explore the Faaroa River.

Relax on the pristine beaches of Mo'orea, like Matira Beach, and soak up the island's serene atmosphere.

Hike through the pineapple fields (Route des Ananas) to the Three Pines Lookout.

In Mo'orea:

Snack Mahana: This eatery near Cook's Bay offers authentic Tahitian fare, including grilled fish, coconut milk-based dishes and tropical fruit smoothies. We came back multiple times during our visit for breakfast or lunch. The food is so fresh!

Restaurant Te Honu Iti: This restaurant offers authentic Tahitian and French cuisine in a relaxed beachfront setting with stunning lagoon views. This is a great place to spot nurse sharks.

In Raiatea:

L'Hibiscus: A local favorite known for its authentic Tahitian cuisine.

Chez Taio: A waterfront restaurant serving fresh seafood and traditional Tahitian dishes in a laid-back atmosphere, with views of the lagoon.

Aloe Cafe: Located in Uturoa, this cafe offers a mix of French and Polynesian cuisine, with dishes like croissants, omelets, and local fruit salads.

In Bora Bora:

Snack Matira: Located near Matira Beach, this casual eatery offers authentic Tahitian dishes like poisson cru, grilled fish, and coconut-based desserts.
