I believe you should make a good plan with all of the things you know you MUST do and then take a little bit of time to wander and "get lost" in a city. Some of the best memories are the ones I have made by accident. I believe a city can best be enjoyed in her food and people. I tend to plan trips in layers. First the structure, transportation and lodging. Next, we book transfers and logistics. After that, we plan meals and experiences. I help my clients curate a plan for tours and experiences that will make their trips memorable. Finally, I make sure there is breathing room, so that they may enjoy some time in each city, just to take it in.
