When not wrangling three young kids or working as a pediatric nurse practitioner, I love hiking with friends, photography, wine and quenching my incessant wanderlust by researching and planning trips!
My Travel Style
I love a well-balanced trip that involves physical activity and adventure, rewarded by food, drinks and lounging. I also enjoy experiencing local cultures, sustainability and giving back, understated luxury in far off exotic places – knowing that reality of family and life often necessitates fun (closer) adventures too!

We had such an incredible experience working with Mara—I truly can’t recommend her enough. She helped us narrow down hotel options based on what we were looking for, and her recommendation ended up being perfect.
Before we arrived, she even contacted the property to see if they could offer us a room upgrade—and they did! We went from a standard room to one of the nicest suites on the property: a sunny corner room with a separate living room, walk-in closet, private terrace, and our own plunge pool.
We ended up loving the hotel so much that we decided to change our travel plans and stay an extra night. Mara was traveling internationally at the time, but she still jumped in and handled the change with the hotel seamlessly.
Will absolutely be working with her again for future trips.

Mara went above and beyond to make our trip fantastic. She got us a better room at a lower rate than listed. We were also upgraded after that to a three bedroom penthouse. She also arranged a birthday cake to welcome us. Mara is reliable, responsive, and has great taste in hotels. Thank you!
